Networks In Motion's AtlasBook on BREW solution was the grand prize winner at the Wireless LBS Challenge presented by NAVTEQ, formerly Navigation Technologies, and SiRF Technology. Both Networks In Motion's AtlasBook and PhoneLocator solutions were finalists at the event. The challenge was held in conjunction with the CTIA Wireless 2004 conference in Atlanta, March 22-24. With a nice cradle in the car, this is the sort of solution that can make the phone useful while driving. Oh, but you can't use it in CA (it's a display). On the other hand, if it uses the network enough one wouldn't be able to get any calls in the car, which might be kind of nice. ;) |
