Mobile LBS and the Motorola i730

Posted at May 3, 2004 11:39 PM in J2ME .

This is a good article from Sun about developing an LBS applet for the i730. It covers the basics as well as providing code for download that will get the handsets current position.

Java and GIS, Part 2: Mobile LBS by Sue Spielman and Tom Whitehill -- Sue Spielman's series on geospatial programming continues with an introduction to Location-Based Services (LBSes), complete with a J2ME MIDlet that can send its GPS-provided location to a servlet.
