During all of 2003, 6.7 Million Symbian handsets were shipped worldwide. Of that, over 1 million were shipped in just December. Certainly the rate is increasing. Given the projected sales of the N-Gage, which wasn't doing too bad, the N-Gage alone will have a large part of that market. This is nothing compared to the 100million J2ME devices as of the end of last year and 25million shipped BREW handsets (both total numbers), but it is certainly growing very rapidly. |
