QUALCOMM has updated their BREW statistics. The new statistics can be found here. The statistics now show over 120 million application downloads, up 20 million from less than two months ago. Since there are over 25 million BREW devices in the market, this means each device, on average, downloads almost 5 BREW applications. There are now 135 commercially available BREW devices models from 26 different BREW device manufacturers. These are available through 27 operators in 20 countries. This also means that, on average, each operator has sold less than 1 million BREW devices. Likewise, on average, each device manufacturer has shipped less than 1 million BREW devices. Of course, it is very likely that the top manufacturers and top operators have shipped and sold far more than average. However, a 10% increase in downloads on a monthly basis is very strong growth. |
