Electronic check conversion converts a paper check to an electronic transaction at the point of sale. The check information is transmitted via the Nextel data network, through eProcessingNetwork's payment gateway to a national verification database where it is evaluated against negative information. A response is sent back to the merchant within seconds. The check information is stored at the payment gateway and the transaction deposits are routed to the merchant's account within 48 - 72 hours. The applications run on J2ME and allow the conversion of a physical check into an electronic transfer, eleminating the need to deposit the check into an account and making the transaction faster and safer. |
