Nokia on Using C++ and/or Java

Borland Mobile Studio and Borland Enterprise Studio for Mobile allow developers of mobile applications to combine C++ and Java™ programming in the same development environment. The purpose of this document is to assist the developer in deciding which development tasks are best handled using C++ and which are best implemented using Java technology. The document explores both language-related features of and platform-specific differences between the native Symbian environment and the standardized Java MIDP model. Various development tools are also covered, with the focus on C++ and Java development environments from Borland and Nokia.
