TeleNav provides affordable, real-time visual and audio GPS driving directions to guide subscribers to their destination. Using a built-in or attached GPS receiver and a Nextel phone, TeleNav determines the driver's location and computes the most direct route to a desired location. TeleNav users can enter their destination for anywhere in the continental U.S. on the Nextel Nationwide Network and receive up-to-the-minute guidance through voice automation, including the distance to upcoming turns. The application itself is a J2ME applet running on either a GPS enabled handset or one with an attached GPS unit. Destination input methods include voice, keypad, and web. |
