Samsung has announced a new smartphone with specs that rival the much anticipated MPx220. The new SGH-i250 will have a built-in camera, bluetooth, and upgraded ram capacity. Release date is not yet known, but then again neither is the date for the MPx220.

At this year's CeBIT 2004 fair in Hannover, Samsung offered early peeks at a number of new smartphone models, based on each of the three platforms dominating this space: Palm OS, Symbian OS and Windows Mobile. The latter was represented by the SGH-i250, a tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz clamshell model equipped with GPRS Class 10, and chalks up a first in the world of Windows Mobile smartphones through the inclusion of a 1.3 megapixel digital camera.
