ACCESS Announces CDC HI JVM

ACCESS (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 4813), a global provider of Internet access technologies, today announced the availability of JV-Lite 2 CE Edition, a new edition of its Java Virtual Machine solution that supports Sun Microsystems' CDC HI (Connected Device Configuration, HotSpot Implementation) technology. Additionally, ACCESS announced that CASIO has selected JV-Lite 2 CE Edition for their new CASIOPEA DT-5100, handy terminal. JV-Lite 2 CE Edition provides full support for the latest Java standards like J2ME(TM) CDC (Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition, Connected Device Configuration) as well as CDC HI. These advanced Java technologies were developed for devices that require a high degree of Internet connectivity and Web fidelity while also providing a significant performance increase, faster startup, and a smaller footprint. Among the possible device applications are high-end PDAs, smartphones, TV set-top boxes, game consoles, and automobile telematics systems.

ACCESS is rapidly become a big name in the mobile browsing space with their NetFront browser technology as well as other mobile technologies.
