QUALCOMM Posted their 4Q and FY reports yesterday. [QUALCOMM] said it earned $393 million, or 23 cents a share, for the quarter ended Sept. 26, up from $291 million, or 18 cents a share, a year ago. More summary information can be found here. QUALCOMM provides the BREW technology, which competes against J2ME, primarily, but also Symbian and other handset platforms. (Of course, anyone reading this here already knows that ... and more.) Although specific numbers aren't available for their BREW division (which is part of QIS, which is part of an even larger division) we do know from other press releases that recently QUALCOMM passed sending out $200 million to developers for BREW. |
