Getting Started with BlackBerry Development in Java

Posted at April 26, 2005 12:25 AM in J2ME .
Learn how to use the freely available BlackBerry JDE to develop, debug, and test BlackBerry applications. Follow this demonstration to create a simple HelloWorld application that exploits some of BlackBerry's own APIs.

In our series of forgotten links (actually, some of these news sites put things on a hidden page to grease the search engines first) we've got one on developer for the BlackBerry with Java. I haven't done BlackBerry development since the days of when it was a 386 and you could make Win32 DLLs to develop for it (all quite easy, actually).

Anyway, check out DevX for an article on getting started with BlackBerry development in Java.
