QUALCOMM has changed the numbers they are publishing. The last time they published numbers, they had reduced the stats to only downloads, carriers, manufacterers, and countries. Now, instead of downloads they are listing the amount of money distrubuted to developers since the beginning. The June published numbers show over $350 million in developer/publisher earnings on applications published in 24 countries from 34 manufacturers on 45 operators. The number of operators has increased by 4 and the number of manufacturers has increased by 2 since February. That may not seem like much growth, but there are only so many companies that make cell phones. The biggest, Nokia, Samsung, and Motorola have all had BREW phones since nearly the beginning. |
