Forum Nokia brings us a couple of example implementations of enterprise level client-server interaction with both HTTP and Sockets. These include everything form the client all the way to the back end database.

This example is an HTTP reference implementation of an enterprise system that includes mobile clients for the Series 60 and Series 80 Platforms (in Symbian C ), a server-based database, and Web portals (PHP and JSP implementations). Documentation is included in the package. A JSP back-end implementation and a Series 80 C client example have been added to this udpated package.

The HTTP version can be download here and the socket version can be downloaded here.
