Nokia is very serious about making sure their Symbian smartphones are safe for users. Although the average person may not care, if there is risk of virus or hacking an enterprise environment will completely reject a product. So, they have an agreement with Symantec to provide increased protection against viruses and other risk forms on these handsets in the form of antivirus and security software.

Through this agreement, Nokia will be able to preload their Series 60 and Symbian OS based mobile devices with Symantec's mobile security solutions, offering increased protection for consumer and business users against mobile malware threats.
