Three New Samsung BREW Handsets Available

Samsung SCH-a970

Verizon quietly launched the Samsung SCH-a970 through Best Buy a while back. This is a BREW 2.1.3 handset with nearly 6MB of RAM, about 60MB of storage, and has TransFlash support. It has a standard 176x220 resolution display on a swivel type screen for using it's 2.0 megapixel camera along the camera hinge axis. Samsung SCH-a850

In addition, Verizon launched the Samsung SCH-a850 a couple of weeks back. It is also a BREW 2.1.3 handset, but it is a lower end handset with only about 4MB of storage and about 2MB of RAM and a 128x160 screen resolution. Samsung SCH-a950


Finally, Verizon has done an online launched today of the Samsung SCH-a950 handset. It also features BREW 2.1.3 and has a 176x220 resolution display. It has about 45MB of storage and about 6MB of RAM also with TransFlash support. However, it has a lower resolution 1.3 MP camera, but it does feature a jog dial on the outside in addition to 4 media player buttons.
