BREW® For Beginners: Important Resources On The Web
July 2005 by Lauren E. Darcey
People send us QUALCOMM BREW® development questions all the time and 90% of the time, they're asking the same questions. We felt it was time to write up a little "BREW® Beginners" article for all you developers out there that are just getting your feet wet in BREW® (interesting imagery, but you get the idea :P).
GETTING STARTED IN BREW®
QUALCOMM has put a lot of time and effort into documenting the BREW® platform, and their BREW® website has more information for developers, testers, publishers and operators than anywhere else on the web. Some of this information is restricted to authenticated developers, but much of it is readable by anyone.

MORE BREW® ON THE WEB
You may notice that there are not a lot of other places on the web with a lot of QUALCOMM BREW® technical writing. The majority of BREW®-related docs online are business/publisher/operator oriented, but you may find some technical articles here or on several other developer websites like:DevX.com, Developer.com and Fierce Developer (Wireless).
KEEPING UP WITH BREW® DEVELOPER TOPICS For the latest trends on mobile development, Mamlambo runs Mobile Development News, a blog for the tracking of the industry around mobile development platforms - especially QUALCOMM BREW®. There does not appear to be anything quite like it. The developer sites tend to have mostly development related articles and very little news. The news sites tend to ignore much of the developer-related issues. |
